The best way
to approach Selby is through a referral from someone who knows
you and knows us. For example, you could seek a referral through
someone at one of our existing portfolio companies, accountants,
lawyers, recruiters or banks.
For initial consideration of a potential
investment, we prefer to receive a clear, concise, and persuasive
two to three-page Executive Summary that covers the following:
- Brief description of your company's
product or service
- What problem you are trying to solve
- Customer need, number of potential
customers, how much they will pay
- Market size for your product or service
- Customer acquisition and sales channels
- Leading competitors, your differentiation,
and why you will succeed
- Detailed bios of key management
- Stage of the company including key
milestones achieved and planned
- Summary of 3- to 5-year financial
projections
- Funding sought, amount raised previously,
and future capital requirements
If you cannot be referred to us from
someone we know, then email your executive summary to kerry@selbyventures.com.
If we are interested
in reviewing your company in more detail, someone from our
firm will be in contact with you. This process usually takes
three to four weeks.
